This page explains what we do with your information. It is short because we do not do very much with it.
The short version
We collect what we need to send you your order and to answer you when you write. We do not track you, we do not advertise to you, and we do not sell or share your information with anyone who is not helping us make and deliver your order.
There are no analytics tools on this site. No Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording. Nobody is watching where you click.

When you place an order
We collect your name, email address, billing address, shipping address, phone number if you give one, and what you ordered.
We need it to take the payment, make the piece, ship it to the right door and talk to you if something goes wrong. We keep a record of your orders for our accounts and tax.
When you write to us
The contact form asks for your name, email and message. That is stored on this website and emailed to us. We keep it so we have the thread if you write again.
If you join the list
We keep your email address and nothing else. We write now and then when there is new work. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and leaving takes one click and removes you for good.
Who else sees it
Only the people who have to:
- PayPal handles payment. Your card details go to them and never to us. We never see them and we do not store them.
- Printful makes and ships your order. They receive your name and shipping address, because someone has to put it on the parcel.
- Brevo sends our email, both order emails and the list.
- IONOS hosts this website.
That is the whole list. We do not sell your information. We do not trade it. We do not hand it to advertisers.
Cookies
This site uses only the cookies it needs to work: keeping your cart, keeping you logged in if you have an account, and keeping the site secure.
There are no advertising or tracking cookies, which is why you are not being asked to click through a consent banner to read this.
Keeping it safe
The site runs over an encrypted connection and is protected by a security service that logs IP addresses of suspicious activity to block attacks. Access to order data is limited to the two of us.
How long we keep things
Order records stay as long as tax and accounting rules require, which is several years. Contact messages stay while the conversation is useful. List subscriptions stay until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Write to info@philandjames.com and you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you
- send you a copy of it
- correct anything wrong
- delete it, where we are not required to keep it for tax
We answer these ourselves and we do not make it difficult.
Children
This store is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes we update this page. The date below tells you when it last changed.
